DAVID WEEKLEY HOMES BEGINS CONSTRUCTION ON MASSEY MODELS
Tampa, FL (July 18, 2016): David Weekley Homes, the nation’s largest privately-held home builder, recently remodeled, decorated and stocked eight bathrooms at The Children’s Home, a child- and family-centered organization that cares for struggling families.
The work to the eight bathrooms, located in the maternity cottage, included demolishing and reframing walls, and installing new cabinets, backsplash, trim and towel bars. To finish up the remodeling jobs, the Weekley Team also supplied the bathrooms with baby wash and lotion, diapers, wipes, bath toys, towels, wash clothes, shower curtains, bath mats, shower caddies and toiletries.
"The residents of the maternity cottage are thrilled with the results,” said Frank Massaro, director of development operations with The Children’s Home. “The only problem now is that we can’t get them to come out of the bathroom!”
The project was an initiative of the company’s CARE program, which is a charitable and volunteer program that partners team members with homeowners, homebuyers and community partners with nonprofits to make a positive impact in the lives of everyone it touches and in all the communities it builds through its purpose, Building Dreams, Enhancing Lives. This is accomplished by company team members volunteering countless hours to different organizations in their communities and by The David Weekley Family Foundation donating more than $100 million to a variety of organizations through the U.S. and abroad over the past 20 years.
