David Weekley Homes Collects Coats to Help Those in Need This Winter

Austin, TX (November 21, 2017): David Weekley Homes, the nation’s largest privately-held builder, is hosting a coat drive to collect clean, gently worn coats for Austin-area residents in need. The builder is joining together with homeowners, team members, real estate professionals, vendors and others to collect winter clothing items in partnership with One Warm Coat®, a national nonprofit organization that strives to provide a free, warm coat to anyone in need.

David Weekley Homes team members are accepting donated coats from November 27 to December 1, 2017, at the builder’s StoneRidge model home, located at 788 Bridgestone Way, and the Cypress Forest model home at 161 Cypress Forest Drive. Donations can be dropped off between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. for the duration of the drive.

The drive is an initiative of the company’s CARE program, which is a charitable and volunteer program that joins team members, homeowners, homebuyers and community partners with nonprofits to make a positive impact in the lives of everyone it touches and in all the communities it builds through its purpose, Building Dreams, Enhancing Lives. This is accomplished by company team members volunteering countless hours to different organizations in their communities and by The David Weekley Family Foundation donating more than $100 million to a variety of organizations through the U.S. and abroad over the past 20 years.
