David Weekley Homes Enhances Lives in the San Antonio Area
San Antonio, TX (October 17, 2018): David Weekley Homes, the nation’s largest privately-held home builder, recently partnered with Providence Place as part of the volunteer and philanthropic efforts of the company’s CARE program.
About 50 team members from the builder’s San Antonio division worked together to renovate Providence Place’s facilities during the two-day project and totaling 250 volunteer hours. In addition to repainting three main hallways and providing landscaping, The David Weekley Family Foundation donated $5,000 for new furniture for the organization’s common area.
“It was an honor to be able to serve and give back to Providence Place,” said Jena Brooks, a David Weekley Homes sales consultant in San Antonio. “By painting the walls, we were able to help transform the atmosphere so the space feels light, comforting and peaceful. This is significant because the individuals who will be living at Providence Place need those feelings of peace more than ever at this time in their life.”
Providence Place, a nonprofit organization that has been in existence since 1895, provides services to survivors of human trafficking, adults with disabilities, women facing an unplanned pregnancy, families with children under the age of three, and children and youth in foster care.
By joining together with our team members, homebuyers, homeowners and community partners, we are able to live out Our Purpose of Building Dreams, Enhancing Lives. Through the volunteer and philanthropic efforts of our CARE program, we are committed, active and responsible for enhancing lives in communities in which we work and live. For more than 20 years, The David Weekley Family Foundation has given more than $200 million to deserving nonprofits nationwide and abroad.
