Colorado Springs, CO (May 2, 2017): David Weekley Homes, the nation’s largest privately-held home builder, announced today its expansion to its newest market in Colorado Springs, CO, and has named Dustin Nelson as division president.

Nelson joined David Weekley Homes in 1998, where he has held several positions since that time, including superintendent, builder, sales consultant, project manager and division president for the company’s operations in Dallas. He earned a degree in business from The University of Texas San Antonio.
Headquartered in Houston, David Weekley Homes began building in 1976 and has closed more than 80,000 homes to date. The builder will soon begin selling single-family homes in the communities of Flying Horse and Wolf Ranch.
Flying Horse is situated on the 18-hole Wieskopf Golf Course and will offer great views and resort-style amenities, including a Euro-style club house, athletic club and spa, lap pool, trails and parks. Weekley’s homes in Flying Horse will offer main-floor living and owner’s retreats with walk-out basements, and outdoor decks with views of Pikes Peak and the Front Range. Sales in Flying Horse will begin in June.

Weekley’s second Colorado Springs community, Wolf Ranch, is scheduled to open for sales in early June. This master-planned community, situated at 6,500 feet, features 24 homesites with floor plans ranging in size from 1,700-2,300 square feet. Floor plans offer main-level living and owner’s retreats, along with full yard maintenance. In addition to views of Pikes Peak, the community includes 300 acres of open space, a pool, clubhouse and students attend Academy District 20 schools. Homeowners also have access to community trails, an amenity center and lake.
