Longtime Weekley team member Jeff Waddle has relocated from Hilton Head to Sarasota to serve as the new city’s division president.
“Entering the Sarasota market is a great opportunity for David Weekley Homes and our prospective homebuyers in this great part of Florida,” said David Weekley, chairman of David Weekley Homes. “With a great location south of Tampa, a market we’ve been building in since 1998, we’re looking forward to bringing our award-winning homes to homebuyers in Sarasota.”
Waddle brings more than 30 years of home building experience, including 16 with David Weekley Homes alone, with him to Sarasota. Waddle joined the company in 1999 as a project manager in Atlanta and was soon promoted to division president for the builder’s Hilton Head operations – where he was key to the growth experienced in the company’s east coast market – before relocating to Florida to launch the company’s Sarasota division.
“With 4,500 housing permits issued for 2015, and stable housing prices, this is a great time for us to expand to Sarasota,” said Jeff Waddle, Division President for David Weekley Homes in Sarasota. “This great city offers a vibrant downtown, beautiful Siesta Beach, lots of culture, great shopping and ideal weather.”
Weekley is currently building its Central Living by David Weekley homes on individual homesites around Sarasota, with new communities coming soon in Moss Creek off SR 70 and Enclave at Laurel Park west of the trail.
“Our offerings in Sarasota will include various styles, such as craftsman, contemporary coastal, modern and Low Country,” Waddle said.
