David Weekley Homes Holds Toy Drive Benefitting Blue Santa Program
San Antonio, TX (December 22, 2021): David Weekley Homes team members, homeowners and neighbors in the San Antonio area joined forces with the San Antonio Police Department for their Blue Santa holiday toy drive.
The drive was held in early December, and donations were collected at all David Weekley model homes across the San Antonio area. Team members, homebuyers and friends were encouraged to bring new, unwrapped toys to drop off at the designated locations. Thanks to the generous donations, David Weekley Homes collected more than 100 toys for deserving children.
The San Antonio Police Department Blue Santa Program serves up to 8,000 families in need every year in the San Antonio area. What began as a small wave of compassion over 41 years ago has become an annual program of giving that brings smiles to countless children and is a source of goodwill from San Antonio’s men and women in the police force.
“It’s an amazing experience to be a part of the Blue Santa Program,” said Morgan Keogh, senior sales consultant for David Weekley Homes in San Antonio. “Officers from around San Antonio had a goal of delivering 5,000 gifts to children this year and I’m so glad to have been a part of it!”
The drive was an initiative of the company’s CARE program, which is a charitable and volunteer program that joins team members with homeowners, homebuyers, community partners and local nonprofit organizations to live out its purpose, Building Dreams, Enhancing Lives in all the communities in which it builds. This is accomplished by company team members volunteering countless hours to different organizations in their communities.
