David Weekley Homes Launches Build on Your Lot Program
Orlando, FL (January 16, 2018): David Weekley Homes, the nation’s largest privately-held builder, announced the launch of its Build on Your Lot program. The builder is also expanding its traditional offerings in the Orlando area with three new communities and new homesites in several established communities.
Weekley’s Build on Your Lot program is new to Orlando, but it has a more than 20-year history of success. The builder has offered Build on Your Lot homes since 1997 in Houston, Austin, Charleston and San Antonio.
Building in the Orlando area since 1994, Weekley’s Build on Your Lot program allows customers to build one of its homes on the customers’ homesites within established neighborhoods.
“Orlando is growing rapidly, and more layers keep adding to the core of the city,” said Brent Bartholomew, division president for David Weekley Homes in Orlando. “We’re excited to offer land owners in central Orlando an opportunity to personalize a beautiful home in a location they love instead of moving out of the heart of the city.”
The expanding Build on Your Lot program joins Weekley’s other new product line in Orlando, Central Living by David Weekley Homes, which provides homebuyers with new construction in town. Launched in Orlando in 2009, the builder will soon break ground on Eleven on Thornton, an enclave of 11 homes in downtown Orlando.
For buyers looking for homes in the builder’s traditional suburban communities, David Weekley Homes is adding to its offerings with two new communities: Griffin Park and Serenoa. The builder recently broke ground on two new models in the Lake Mary community of Griffin Park, and will break ground by early February in master-planned Serenoa in south Clermont.
David Weekley Homes is also adding new homesites to its offerings in Laureate Park at Lake Nona and John’s Lake Landing. Phase 8 of Laureate Park at Lake Nona, located in Orlando, is now open for sales and includes new 30-, 50-, 55- and 70-foot homesites. In the Clermont community of John’s Lake Landing, new 50- and 75-foot homesites, including lake-front homesites, will be available in spring 2018.
