DAVID WEEKLEY HOMES REBUILDS TOY SHED FOR SAFEPLACE RESIDENTS
AUSTIN, TX (April 17, 2014): Children who call SafePlace home now have a bigger and better home for their toys and playground materials. In March, David Weekley Homes Team Members in Austin rolled up their sleeves and rebuilt a new toy shed for residents at the shelter.
The shed replaces a much older toy shed that was falling apart. The 25-member group teamed up with David Weekley Homes’ trade associates, all of whom donated labor and/or materials, to design, build and paint the new storage unit in only four days. On April 15, David Weekley Team Members held a dedication ceremony to present the new and improved shed to SafePlace.
SafePlace is a 40-year old organization that provides safety for Austin-area individuals and families affected by sexual and domestic violence.
