David Weekley Homes Wins Six Obie Awards
Atlanta, GA (November 7, 2018): David Weekley Homes was recently awarded six OBIE awards from the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association, including three gold awards and awards within three price categories.
The home builder received the gold award for Best Design Center. The 2,300-square-foot center showcases the latest trends, colors and features offered by the builder, including six vignettes with kitchen displays, a granite display and expansive flooring section.
In the price range of $800,000-$899,000, David Weekley Homes received a gold OBIE in Architectural Design for The Devereaux in The Reserve at Old Atlanta. The two-story home features a gourmet kitchen with large island and adjoining family room, a guest suite and covered porch.
Taking home a silver award in the $700,000-$799,000 Interior Merchandising category was The Whitcomb in Broadview Place Terrace. This four-story open-concept home features an industrial style with metal and leather elements.
The Samara in Broadview Place Terrace also took home a silver award in Interior Merchandising in the $600,0000-$699,000 category. The four-story home incorporates a modern design style with dark wood flooring, dramatic pops of colors and mid-century modern elements.
The homebuilder was also recognized with a gold award for the community logo for Broadview Place and silver award for Best Community Service Project for the company’s annual Giving Back, Giving Thanks Thanksgiving Drive.
The OBIE Awards program, which is presented by the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association, began in 1980 to recognize outstanding achievement in new home building, marketing remodeling and personal achievement categories.
