DAVID WEEKLEY’S FIRST-EVER TURKEY DRIVE GOBBLES UP BIG DONATIONS FOR FARM SHARE
Jacksonville, FL (November 12, 2014): David Weekley Homes wrapped up their first-ever Turkey Drive in Jacksonville by collecting more than 62 frozen turkeys and $7,040 in monetary donations, all benefitting Farm Share in Northeast Florida.
To achieve this feat, David Weekley Homes reached out to business partners, team members, vendors, friends, family and homeowners. Weekley staff collected frozen turkeys and monetary donations during their inaugural Turkey Drive on Monday, November 10.
Farm Share uses inmate labor and volunteers to re-sort and package an abundance of surplus food and distributes it to individuals, soup kitchens, homeless shelters, churches and other organizations feeding the hungry in Florida — free of charge.
