DAVID WEEKLEY TEAM MEMBERS COLLECT ESSENTIALS FOR RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE RESIDENTS
RALEIGH, NC (March 31, 2015): David Weekley Homes team members partnered with the Ronald McDonald House of Durham to collect basic necessities for families in need. The Raleigh team spent an afternoon spreading cheer and lifting spirits of children and their families, and preparing a home cooked meal for 75 families currently residing at the facility. The home builder also collected gift cards, food, cleaning products, household items, laundry supplies, toiletries and more for the non-profit organization.
Since 1980, the Ronald McDonald House of Durham has offered a comforting home away from home and a community of support for seriously ill children and their families. The organization’s programs provide families with the comforts of home – private bedrooms, inviting community spaces, home cooked meals and a stocked kitchen, a playroom, computer room and laundry facilities – as well as a network of support through interactions with other families, staff and volunteers.
Building community character is at the heart of David Weekley’s purpose of Building Dreams, Enhancing Lives. As a company, the home builder strives to make a positive impact in the lives of everyone in its communities across the country.
