TEAM MEMBERS HOST BLOOD DRIVE FOR SAN ANTONIO COMMUNITY

San Antonio, TX (September 8, 2015): Many San Antonio-area residents will receive the gift of life, thanks to generous donations from the community and David Weekley Homes team members. The group hosted a blood drive benefitting the South Texas Blood & Tissue Center.

Twenty team members and two San Antonio residents participated in the event at the New Home Center, giving one pint of blood each. A one-pint donation can save up to three adult lives, while a three-teaspoon donation can save a baby’s life. In just one day, enough blood was donated to save 66 lives. Blood donations to the South Texas Blood & Tissue Center supply 67 hospitals in 43 South Texas counties.
