Rated 3 out of 5 by from Escondido Home Purchase OK I recently purchased a home from David Weekley Homes, and overall, I had a positive experience during the purchase process. The team was professional and made the home-buying journey smooth. The home itself is beautifully designed, and I’m pleased with most aspects of it. However, I’ve encountered a significant issue with the HVAC system since moving in. Unfortunately, the system hasn’t been functioning properly, which has been frustrating. The solutions provided by the builder so far have been disappointing—they’ve suggested removing or overriding all the energy management features that were a major selling point of the home. It feels a bit disheartening that the only way to get the AC to cool the house properly is to disable the very features that were marketed to me as a way to save on energy costs and add value to the home. I feel a bit taken advantage of, as I was expecting to enjoy both a comfortable home and the energy efficiency promised during the sales process. I hope the builder can find a better solution that doesn’t involve compromising the features that attracted me to this home in the first place. If you purchase from David Weekley, you should fully examine what features they are putting into the home versus what is actually delivered. The energy efficiency they market to you may not be real or might be something they decide to override or remove after the sale to make the home function.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from House is great. Yard, not so much :( Our house was built to our satisfaction with minor repairs here/there. The yard, specially our backyard, was sub par. Yard has a lot of highs and lows , far from level, making mowing difficult. My biggest yard issue is drainage in the back resulting in a lot mosquitos, frogs even and tall grass. Multiple attempts made and issue remained. Was recently regraded but time will tell if this solves the problem but previous made a recommendation that my house needs a better drainage system instead of a regrade. Not hopeful but we shall see.

Carla Waldo made the sale process happen smoothly while going through all the details thoroughly. Luke Pope did a great job managing the construction of the house and made our home buying diligence that much easier. He walked through every inch of the home and addressed any concerns promptly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Definitely recommend the team Our building process with Chris and Russ was the best indeed. we havent seen any agent or builder who gives full detail and explains to us the fin print of every documents, they are very transparent and you will not find any hints of lie on what they say. they listen on our needs and follow that and make recommendations that suits our needs. i would definitely recommend the team especially for those first time homebuyer us like us. We have been on so many builders during our house hunting especially we want the best as our first home and thank you guys for giving us the most unforgettable experience on home buying and building. We love the house that we have right now that we can truly say our sweet home and i thank the team for that. For Chris and Russ thank you so much.
