Almost There

Y'all do not know how much I want to give 5 stars for David Weekley as a company and builder. It's really not a 4, more like a 4.75. But. That .25 that I can't give is important. Because it's David Weekley. It should be the home builder that everyone else strives to be. Why would David Weekley put hollow core doors in their home? It just says cheap to us as buyers. Why are there small round toilets? I don't understand. The rest of the bathroom fixtures are outstanding. Why are there no medicine cabinets? Is that an upgrade? Because it shouldn't be. Why is there a cheap chrome shower rod in the bathroom when all of the fixtures and finishes are matte black? In terms of structure, David Weekley did an awesome job. But. For us, it's the finishes that tell us the quality of a home. A tangle of piping under the kitchen sink just looks messy. As well as the wiring in the attic thrown over cross beams like an after thought. Like most people we want to use the attic as storage, and it was very tricky because there were wires everywhere. What makes sense: ceiling fans, garage door openers, blinds. What doesnt: 1 linen closet for the whole house. And no coat closet. Or at least a second linen closet. The closet in the master bath is so narrow, i can only fit towels sideways. I will say this though, your representatives, your warranty people, your builder are phenomenal. All of them. My husband and I have owned many homes. This was the most expensive for us. But we did it because of what David Weekley represents to us. And you were 97.5% there.

Buyer Beware

As a first-time homebuyer, I was really excited but quickly disappointed in the quality of work in my David Weekley home. It's been months of frustration, trying to fix things that can't be fixed. Beware of buying a David Weekley home.

Great experience from the entire team. We enjoy our new house and neighborhood. We had a few follow-up issues after we were in the house and the staff was very responsive. Kimberly was coor in the fixes in a very professional manner.

We had an excellent experience throughout the entire process. I am a home builder and actually used to work at David Weekley so I probably wasn't the easiest person to build for but our team did a fantastic job! Thais, Luke and Rachel were all great to work with!

David Weekley Homes has a process that their team follows. I think it sets expectaions on both sides and enables timely communications.The result is your home gets built the way you expected.

Home

Craftmanship was poor in vast areas. We are still waiting for the warranty dept to fix them. It has been 3 months. Small damages that have not been replaced or fixed.
