ISO RED ci Polyisocyanurate (polyiso) exterior sheathing greatly reduces heat loss through wall framing. Advantages of using polyiso include a 10 percent higher R-value rating in homes. An R-value is a measurement of the effectiveness of a home’s insulation in resisting heat passing through it. The higher the R-value, the more effective the insulation’s thermal performance, resulting in lower energy usage for the homeowner.
